tube s top water spoons the bass move to cooler water when it warms up so if you can find a sring in the creek you will find the smallies if you fish the lake find them out farther in deeper water

ive caught quite a few smallmouth and most of them have been on spinnerbaits, white or perch colored and ive also caught some on rapala x-raps. Either one should catch you some smallmouth

Tiny crankbaits, crawfish style jigs, roostertails. All work well in creeks and small rivers. Look for eddies in the current. Fish the down stream side of current breaks. Good luck to ya.

Tube baits (Gitzit’s or similar make) are #1 for smallmouth bass.

I just fished the Muskegon River for smallies 2 days ago, We caught the agressive fish, ( feeding near creek inlets) on Flashy #7 and #11 floating rapalas ( black and silver). The bigger fish were on the bottom, we drifted crayfish thru the runs..We also picked up a 20″ walleye on the rapala
